PROGRAM:

This series of webinars will address:

  • The nuts and bolts of getting registered, including what needs to be filed with the SEC and state regulators
  • The requirements and SEC expectations for your Chief Compliance Officer
  • What written policies you will need to formulate and implement when you are registered (e.g., compliance manual, code of ethics, proxy voting and privacy policies)
  • Recently adopted changes to the Form ADV Part 2 disclosure brochure
  • Consequences of registration (e.g., custody rule, performance fee limitations and record keeping requirements)
  • SEC examination process
  • Marketing material requirements and limitations
  • SEC rule designed to curtail "pay to play" practices

Replays of all programs in the webinar series are available by following the instructions below:

  • Go to university university.learnlive.com/proskaueronlineevents
  • Login with your existing user name and password.
  • If you do not have a user name and password, please select the "New Student Registration" button to create a new account. You will need to enter the Proskauer Company Code: 9736529.
  • Select the "Catalog" tab at the top of the page. Select the "Enroll" button to the right of the course titled:

  • Select the "Continue" button in the pop up.
  • Select the "Launch" button to open the course and begin watching. Please be sure to allow pop-ups and click the boxes that appear on the screen to receive CLE credit.

CLE:

In order to receive CLE credit for the webinar you are required to click all of the participation pop-ups that will appear throughout the program.

Each of these programs have been approved in accordance with the requirements of the New York State Continuing Legal Education Board for a maximum of 1.5 credit hours in the Professional Practice category. CLE credits for this program are available to experienced attorneys only.

These programs have also been approved in accordance with the requirements of the California Continuing Legal Education Board for 1.5 credit hours in the General MCLE category. California credits are available to all attorneys.
