Seven Proskauer Lawyers Named Southern California Rising Stars
July 12, 2010 (Los Angeles, CA) – Seven Los Angeles-based Proskauer lawyers have been named to this year’s Southern California Rising Stars, an exclusive list compiled by Super Lawyers of the region’s top lawyers under 40. The list was featured in the July 2010 issue of Los Angeles magazine.
Proskauer’s 2010 Southern California Rising Stars are: Adam C. Abrahms (Employment & Labor), Enzo Der Boghossian (Employment & Labor), Gabriel F. Gregson (Banking), Damian J. Martinez (Securities Litigation), S. Montaye Sigmon (Business Litigation), Navid Soleymani (Business Litigation), and Stephanie D. Zaffos (Estate Planning & Probate).
Mr. Abrams, a Special Labor Counsel in the Labor & Employment Law Department, devotes his practice almost exclusively to representing management in labor and employment law matters. He made his debut on the Rising Stars list in 2008.
Mr. Der Boghossian, also an Associate in the Labor & Employment Law Department, has extensive experience representing employers in state and federal courts including the defense of major statewide and nationwide wage and hour class action claims brought against Fortune 100 companies. He has been on the Rising Stars list since 2006.
Mr. Gregson, a Senior Counsel in the Corporate Department, focuses his practice primarily on banking and corporate finance matters. He made his debut on the Rising Stars list in 2009.
Mr. Martinez, an Associate in the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Department, represents officers and directors of publicly traded companies in connection with government investigations into stock options practices, insider trading and tax shelters.
Ms. Sigmon, an Associate in the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Department, handles a broad range of litigation matters in both federal and state courts such as disputes involving claims of misappropriation of trade secrets, breach of fiduciary duties, unfair business practices, and copyright and trademark infringement.
Mr. Soleymani, also an Associate in the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Department, has a diverse commercial litigation practice involving complex matters in state and federal courts, and private arbitration. He first appeared on the Rising Stars list in 2008.
Ms. Zaffos, an Associate in the Personal Planning Department, provides practical and innovative estate planning guidance to a wide array of high-profile, high net worth individuals and institutions. Having first appeared on the Rising Stars list in 2004, this marks her seventh consecutive year.
Southern California Rising Stars are selected from nominations submitted by current Super Lawyers. The Rising Stars must be 40 years of age or younger or have been practicing for 10 years or less. The selection process is based upon evidence of peer recognition and professional achievement.
