DC Office and Bloomberg BNA Clean the Anacostia River

On July 12, Proskauer’s DC office teamed up with Bloomberg BNA and the Anacostia Watershed Society in a canoe clean-up of the Anacostia River and its wetlands at the Bladensburg Waterfront Park. We removed 700 pounds of trash and recyclables (28 bags), 400 pounds of recyclables and 300 pounds of trash.

Planting in an Urban Farm

As part of the Firm’s Adopt-a-School program, students from Manhattan Hunter Science High School and volunteers from our New York office boarded a ferry to visit GrowNYC’s Governors Island Teaching Garden, an 8,000-square-foot urban farm that engages, excites and educates its visitors in all aspects of urban farming.

Advancing the Climate Change Dialogue

In April 2015, in recognition of Earth Month, Proskauer hosted a panel discussion in New York to take on a timely and important topic: Curbing Global Warming and the Impacts of Climate Change. Peter Lehner, Executive Director of The Natural Resources Defense Council, and Cynthia Rosenzweig, a senior scientist at the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies, led the discussion, which explored why the world’s cities are at the center of the climate-change challenge. The discussion is part of Proskauer’s ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility Speaker Series.
